Jim Fleck recently joined the UWC family after spending 31 years with GMAC. Jim is a native Michigander, but has spent the last several years in GMAC's field operations where he supported the dealers' business by providing tailored solutions designed to improve their bottom line. Jim received his BBA from Western Michigan University and his MBA from Central Michigan.
In July of 2009, Jim assumed his current position of Senior Vice President with Universal Warranty Corporation, coming to us from GMAC's Charlotte Field Office where he was responsible for directing a sales team of more than 40 employees. In addition to being responsible for the internal sales team at UWC, Jim is also charged with Quality Assurance of our Independent Agent Partners to ensure we deliver on our value promise to the automotive dealers.
Jim is married with two grown children and enjoys travel, golf, hockey and college football (although he's more of a spectator of the latter now!)
Tim Gibbs recently joined the North American Mechanical Service Center and has been with the corporation for over 26 years. He has held a number of positions, including sales, servicing, collections and support. Tim’s sales experience consists of stints as SPB Manager in Atlanta, GA, and Charlotte, NC, territories, and as GMAC Minority Dealer Develop Manager in Detroit. Additionally, he was Site Manager for collection activity for the Southeast, and Northeast Regional Business Centers. Tim is joining us from the Dealer Service Center in Wichita, KS where he has been the leader since 2006.
Tim has a Bachelor’s Degree from Tulsa University, and a MBA from Mercer University. During his time with the corporation, Tim has worked and lived in numerous cities across the Southeast, and Midwest. He is married and has one adult child. For recreational activities, he enjoys traveling, golf, and following his nephew who plays for the Denver Bronco’s.
